Let’s find the light
you’ve been looking for.
A licensed clinical social worker helping young adults in Maryland pause, process, and move forward.
Why I do this work
At Seven Lights Counseling, I follow the evidence and focus on connection.
With a passion for supporting young adults, I founded Seven Lights Counseling to create a space where everyone feels heard, valued, and understood. As a licensed therapist, I am dedicated to helping you navigate addiction, anxiety, life transitions, and personal growth through compassionate and tailored care.
Trust isn’t something to give blindly; it’s earned. I show up as myself, and I’ll be a partner who helps you set goals and actually reach them, not just someone who listens.
Your therapist
A steady presence, an honest voice,
and a fellow human in the room.

Kerry Garrity, LCSW-C
Bio & credentials
My name is Kerry and I’m so glad you’re here!
Seven Lights Counseling is a solo private therapy practice for young adults. I work with anxiety, complex trauma, self-esteem and self-worth, and attachment and relationship problems. My other area of specialty is addiction & recovery. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for people located in Maryland.
I work with young adults in their 20s to 30s.
My approach to addiction and recovery is non-12-step and evidence-based. With a clinical background as a fellow in a substance use workforce expansion program, I will provide you with the most up-to-date interventions to help you achieve your recovery goals.
Credentials
Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), Maryland
Fellow, Substance Use Workforce Expansion Program
Practice
Individual therapy for young adults, in person at 7700 Old Georgetown Rd, Suite 675, Bethesda, and virtually across Maryland.
Free 15-minute consultations. Out-of-network superbills provided; sliding-scale spots for some people experiencing financial hardship.
Harm reduction + evidence + dignity
Recovery doesn’t have to start with a 28-day stay. My approach is non-12-step and evidence-based, and it meets you where you are: whether you want to stop, moderate, or simply understand your use better.
Your twenties and thirties can feel so loud.
Let’s turn the volume down.
Balancing a career, friendships, dating, and family expectations is a lot. Sometimes that inner critic turns up the volume, magnifying the “what ifs” and making you question your worth.
Or maybe past experiences, from difficult relationships to complex trauma, still show up in everyday moments. Maybe alcohol or substances have quietly become the way you cope.
You don’t have to sort it out alone. I’m here to help.
