Is individual therapy right for your
addiction and recovery?
Non-12-step, evidence-based, and built around your life, not a 28-day stay.
Recovery that fits your life,
not the other way around.
Many people are already hesitant to begin addressing their alcohol or substance use, for many valid reasons. Traditional recovery and addiction treatment requires a minimum of 28 days out of the home, which is unrealistic for many, especially if we’re not even sure we’re ready to stop.
Traditional treatment requires complete abstinence and often sets a barrier for people who are not ready to quit everything, who may just want to moderate, or who have other obligations such as a job or family.
My goal is to make treatment more accessible for people outside the traditional setting of a rehab.
My approach
My approach is non-12-step and evidence-based. With a clinical background as a fellow in a substance use workforce expansion program, I will provide you with the most up-to-date interventions to help you achieve your recovery goals.
Harm Reduction
People who use substances are people: with rights, dignity, and their own goals.
Harm reduction starts from a simple idea: any positive change counts. Meeting you where you are, whether that means abstinence, moderation, or safer use, reduces harm today and keeps the door to recovery open tomorrow.
For a long time addiction was treated as a moral failing, and people who used substances were punished, shamed, or written off. That is changing. Society is moving toward treating addiction as a health condition, and people with addiction as humans with rights: to respect, to evidence-based care, to make decisions about their own lives, and to be met without judgment. That is the standard I hold in this practice.
