In-person & virtual therapy for young adults in Maryland

Move toward your steadiest self with therapy
that meets you where you are.

My Principles

Understand your patterns, build self-worth, and work through what’s heavy. These principles shape every plan.

Collaborative

While I’m the expert in mental health, you are the expert in yourself. We set goals together and I help you deepen self-insight and grow.

Evidence-based

I follow the science: individualized plans built from empirically supported tools, and the most up-to-date interventions for recovery.

Trauma-informed

Safety and consent guide every step. Complex trauma is a specialty here, and we move at a pace that feels right to you.

Harm reduction

Any positive change counts. Abstinence isn’t required to start, and your goals, not a program’s, set the direction.

Therapy Frameworks

Different people call for different approaches. I draw from several frameworks depending on your needs.

Every plan is designed with your goals at the forefront. Your experience may involve a combination of the services below.

Individual therapy

One-on-one sessions focused on whatever you want to work on: anxiety, complex trauma, self-esteem and self-worth, and attachment and relationship problems. I listen carefully to your needs and help decide the best evidence-based course of action.

Addiction & recovery

A non-12-step, evidence-based approach for people who want to address alcohol or substance use outside the traditional setting of a rehab: whether you want to stop, cut back, or aren’t sure yet.

In person or online. If you may need detox, we talk about medical stability first.

Moderation management

Not ready to quit everything? Moderation-focused therapy for people who want to change their relationship with drinking without committing to complete abstinence.

Start with a 15-minute consultation to see whether moderation management is right for you.

Areas of Focus

What we can work on together.

Anxiety

Racing thoughts, tension you can’t switch off, the sense of never quite doing enough. We work on what drives it and build practical tools to settle it.

Complex trauma

The lasting effects of difficult relationships and experiences, especially early ones. Safety and consent guide the pace; nothing is forced.

Self-esteem & self-worth

A harsh inner critic, perfectionism, people-pleasing. We look at where those patterns came from and how to relate to yourself with more steadiness.

Attachment & relationships

Patterns that keep repeating in dating, friendships, and family. Understanding your attachment style is often where change begins.

Free consultation

Book a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what’s bringing you in and make sure we’re a mutual fit.

The first session

This is the time for you to share a bit about yourself and what brings you into therapy, and to create a plan to help you meet your goals.

The work begins

Sessions look different for each person and may evolve over time. Some people come for a few months and others for years; therapy is highly individual.

Fees & paperwork

I don’t bill insurance directly. With out-of-network benefits I’ll provide a superbill, and sliding-scale spots are available for some people experiencing hardship.
